Some of Your Questions:

Q. How do you sell your material?

Most of our material is sold by the cubic yard; this includes our various gravels, sands, topsoil's, cobbles, and barks. Our paving stones and retaining wall products are sold by the square foot or individually. Our masonry stone is sold by weight, tons for larger quantities and pounds for smaller quantities.

Q. How much will a cubic yard of material cover?

One Yard of cubic material (gravel, sand, topsoil's, barks) is 27 cubic feet and will cover approximately 100 square feet at 3 inches deep. There are 27 cubic feet in a cubic yard.

1 cubic yard of material at depth will cover:
1" = 300 square feet
2" = 150 square feet
3" = 100 square feet
4" = 80 square feet
6" = 54 square feet
8" = 37 square feet

To calculate cubic yardage: Use our online calculator here or follow this formula:
Length x Width x Height (in feet or decimal equivalents of feet) / 27

Q. Do you give free estimates?

We give free estimates via email, at our office/yard, and over the phone but do not provide free onsite estimates.

Q. Do you offer discounts for large orders?

Yes! We offer discounts on all our materials when placing large orders. For aggregate materials (gravel, sand, etc) the amount is 15 yards. We will provide the needed material at a tonnage rate rather than yardage and delivery will be included if local (South Lake Tahoe & Meyers). The amounts need to be order in 15-yard increments. For bark and compost, bulk orders are considered 40 yards and will need to be ordered in 40, 50, or 100 yard increments. For Topsoil's, bulk orders are considered 25-yard orders and need to be ordered in 25 yard increments.

Q. What is the smallest amount of material that can be purchased?

For delivery or pick up the smallest amount of material that can be purchased is a quarter yard. Smaller amounts such as 5-gallon buckets, sandbags or trash cans can be self-filled at our yard.

Q. Is delivery included?

Delivery is only included when purchasing bulk amounts of materials. Otherwise, there is a delivery charge included. Most delivery areas are a set fee. Some delivery areas are hourly deliveries, depending on the area and the material being delivered.

Q. How many materials can be delivered at once or for one delivery fee?

We can delivery 2 materials at once depending on the amount and type of material being delivered. Our local delivery truck has a divider gate that can hold 2 different materials keeping them separate. For larger amounts of material, we can use our transfer trucks at our discretion.

Q. Do you sell landscape boulders?

We occasionally have boulders for sale, but they are not a product that we regularly stock. We can get truck loads (12 tons) delivered directly, but do not place or set them.

Q. What is your delivery area?

We deliver all around Lake Tahoe and its surrounding areas.

Q. How long of lead time do you need for deliveries?

Generally, we can get local deliveries out with a 1-2 day lead time, during peak season we can be as much as 3-5 days out. Larger orders require more time and require about 3-5 day lead time. We do our best to ensure timely deliveries and the more lead time allows a specific day and time to be chosen.

Q. Is your compost organic?

Yes, our compost is organic and is comprised of steer manure. Rice holes with chicken manure, recycled wood products, and Gypsum for P.H. levels.
